Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens.
Those who follow me on Instagram and other social media will know this already, but lately I have developed a passion for watercolors. It’s been a lot of fun to paint cards, nature, and portraits.
This is seems funny to me because I used to hate watercolors and steered clear of them. Why? Because Read More
Christmas time is here!
This beautiful vintage dress was given to me by my aunt. It was so much fun to wear and I am thankful I got to wear it to my friends’ party. There was a lot of Post-exertional malaise and it was hard being there but it was still lots of fun! I don’t wear red much but this was such a fun dress and the velvet was so pretty I decided to allow it into my minimalist wardrobe. Read More
Autumn was so beautiful this year that I wanted to pay a tribute to it before we dive into winter. I hope you enjoy this short video and photographs of the season and the treasures of nature.
All things were made through Him,
and without Him nothing was made that was made.
In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
And the light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness did not comprehend it.
Birthdays can be a lot of fun but this year I can’t help but to reflect on the past year and feel a bit of sadness. I feel like it was wasted. Another year of ME holding me back. Again, I feel like my illnesses have frozen me in place while the rest of the world flies past me. Others progress through their life while look at my own and just see empty days of laying in bed, struggling through every task, working so hard towards my goals and dreams in life but getting no closer to them.
This past year has not gone according to plan. Since my relapse last year around this time, ME and Fibro symptoms have steadily and substantially increased. Once again we’re going through the circus of doctors who lack the understanding and will to understand my situation. Once again, looking for answers and finding more failed treatments. Read More
November is here and, for some, that means it’s time to go back to school. I hope these three fall outfits give you some inspiration as to what you want to wear during this new school season.
For a better look at these fall outfits and a look at God’s beautiful nature, watch my new fashion vlog below.
Time for the hot chocolate and a good book. It’s really starting to feel like autumn here in Ohio and I couldn’t be happier!
I don’t know about you but I like to pick theme songs/playlists for a certain day, week, or season of my life. This fall I have been enjoying some new favorite songs of mine that I recently found.
Music is something I love listening to and I love sharing it with others just as much! So here’s my fall playlist. I hope you enjoy! Read More
The other day I managed to walk around our land, take some photos and do some filming outside. The weather has cooled down and the world around me is transitioning, preparing for the winter. It’s such a beautiful time of year. The trees drop their leaves which carpet the ground in a vibrant array of color; the wind in the trees changes to a haunting, yet calming tune. It’s like the world is saying goodnight. I find fall both a bit melancholy and somehow calming.
I love photography but photos still do not always fully capture the feeling and sounds of an environment. So I made Read More
We’ve all heard about harm that toxic relationships and toxic people can do to our lives but what about objects?
Some years ago I started doing something that has helped me both mentally and psychically and that’s removing toxic items from my life. You might be thinking of dangerous chemicals in cleaners or unhealthy foods but that is not what this is going to be about.
From what I remember, this all started with a shirt. This was a cute shirt, it was cozy and a favorite of mine for a while. But one time I wore it and something bad happened emotionally that day and ever since I was always was reminded of it when I wore the shirt. I would try to brush the memory aside but we all know how a bad memory can Read More
A while ago I was given a few things of my grandmother’s. Some of those included ink, and several feather quills she had made. I’ve been inspired to get back into calligraphy lately, in no small part due to Little Coffee Fox who is always sharing her amazing writing skills with brush pens.
No two quills are exactly alike – each is as unique as its writer.
The use of the feather quill has been used by countless, diverse people for many centuries. It’s fascinating to use once again such a historic tool. And I love how Read More
